Anju Sharma was born in Delhi and has resided mostly in Rajasthan. She is a freelance writer and has been contracted by many websites for her stories. In the last many years, most of the anticipated magazines/ newsletters have published her writings. Hans, Lamhi, Katha desh, Doosri Parampara, Samvedan, Yuddharat Aam Aadmi, Yathawat, Kalamkar, Vishwagatha, Pratilipi, Hindi Samay and various literary publications/ blogs have about 15 of her stories. Her poetry has been translated into Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Nepali, Odiya etc. The story “Aaj Shaam hai bahut ideas”, published in Parikatha in 2015 was translated into Punjabi and Urdu. The story “Patta toota daal se”, published in Jansatta in 2016 was translated into Punjabi. Her first story “Gali number do” was translated into English and a portion was presented as a showcase booklet at Norwich Writers Centre for translators.
